Recall Recall

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3/27/2026

1. Overview

Recall is a browser extension that saves, restores, and exports form data locally on your device. We take your privacy seriously and have designed Recall with privacy as a core principle.

2. Data Collection and Storage

Recall stores all data locally in your browser's storage. We do not:

  • Send your form data to any server
  • Collect, track, or monitor your form submissions
  • Use cookies for tracking or analytics
  • Require you to create an account or provide an email address
  • Share your data with third parties

3. How Your Data Is Stored

All form snapshots are stored exclusively in browser.storage.local, which is:

  • Local to your device — never transmitted
  • Encrypted by your browser
  • Deleted when you clear your browser's local storage or uninstall the extension

4. Extension Permissions

Recall uses only the minimum necessary permissions:

  • storage — to save and restore form data locally
  • activeTab — to detect and interact with forms on the current page

5. Third-Party Services

Recall does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or CDN services. It is completely self-contained.

6. Open Source

Recall is MIT-licensed and open source. You can review the complete source code on GitHub.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
